It also now provides a list of examples to support it’s reasoning.
This feature will move up in the manuscript digest, appearing below Submission Consistency.
Criteria Definitions
Research Rationale
- Does the Introduction build a logical case that necessitates the Research Question? Is there a clear “gap statement”?
Terms & Units
- Is nomenclature consistent throughout? Are SI units and scientific conventions followed?
IMRaD
- Does content appear in appropriate sections? Are Results and Discussion appropriately separated?
Evidence Alignment
- Are the conclusions and claims supported by the results actually presented? Is causal language appropriate to the study design?
Language Integrity
- Does the manuscript maintain appropriate scholarly tone? Are there signs of tortured phrases, paper mill language, or inappropriate subjective/emotional language?
Readability
- Is the manuscript free from grammar, spelling, and syntax errors that impede comprehension?
