On this page you can set the priority source of your profile fields. This page can be used if you have similar data being pulled in from multiple integrations – you can then set which integration is the greater source of truth.
About Priority Source Ranking:
Hum is the central hub for all your integration data. Some of that data is bound to have some overlap. For example, Mailchimp and Marketo might both have values for first_name, email, and job title but those values are different. If John Doe is in Mailchimp with a job title of “Chief Marketing Officer” but also has a profile in Marketo as “Director of Marketing” which job title do we want display?
Priority Source Ranking is Hum’s tool to help you dictate which integration source is more valuable or accurate than another. In the example above, lets say that we know John Doe is a Director of Marketing and Marketo has more accurate records of my audience compared to Mailchimp. I can use Priority Source Ranking to rank Marketo data above Mailchimp for Job title data.
Additional Notes about Priority Source Ranking:
- Data is not lost if you set source ranking. If we were to prioritize data from Marketo over Mailchimp, we do not lose the data from Mailchimp.
- We will take data from any source. If you have priorities set like in the example above but Mailchimp is the only integration that has a value for job title, we will display that data because that is the only record available.
How to set up Priority Source Rank:
