1. Download the plugin from https://static.hum.works/downloads/wordpress/hum_cdp.zip
  2. Upload and activate plugin
  3. Navigate to the Hum Plugin and Click Settings
  4. On Settings Page Enter the following values
    1. Cookie domain:
    2. SDK Url:
    3. CDP Url:
    4. CDP public api key:
    5. CDP privileged api key:
    6. CDP Prefix: this should be a logical prefix for your site: eg. hum or humblog. It is used to namespace content ids from each other across multiple systems and will be used for the content sync and backfile sync processes.
    7. Cookie Name: Usually <clientshortname>_visitor. e.g. cra_visitor or chime_visitor
  5. If you have posts that should not be sent to Hum for full text indexing, check “Allow only selected posts types available for API” – You will revisit this setting after saving in step 8.
  6. Enter or generate api key
    1. create an api key for your site
  7. Save Changes
  8. If “Allow only selected posts types available for API” was selected above, go through and select the post types and click save again
  9. Send Hum the CDP Prefix and api key chosen for the backfile load via a secure method to Hum to initiate the backfile download.
