About Display Ad Campaigns:
This campaign allows you to easily target your display ads to specific audience segments. You can also specify which pages on your website you want these ads to display on in the Active Pages Table.
🧱 Building a Display Ad Campaigns
Step 1: Campaign Info
In this step you are inputting some of the base information about the campaign including
- Name
- Ad target
- this is for internal use, you can create whatever target code you like.
- Target Segment
- Description
With Target segment – you can specify specific audience segments that you want to display this campaign to as a way of personalizing user’s experiences.
Step 2: Key Value Pairs
In this step you can add Key Value pairs to send to Google Ad Manager to use for custom targeting.
To add Key Value pairs you need to add the following information:
- A valid Key Name
- 1 or multiple values

Step 3: Active Pages
In this step you can specify which pages on your website you want to display this ad campaign. This is a way of personalizing the campaign to your user’s interests. For example, you can specify that you want to display this campaign on all blog posts about digital-transformation.
To add active pages you need to add the following information:
- Friendly Name: A label for internal use
- URL Pattern: This allows you to select multiple webpages at a time instead of manually adding individual ones. Example: “Contains /blog/”
- URL: This can be a full or partial website URL
And click on add pages! There is no limit to how many active pages you have and this step is completely optional if you want the campaign to display on all pages of your website.

Q: Do I still need to use Google Ad Manager? Or can I do everything in Hum?
A: You still need to use Google Ad Manager. Hum does not serve ads, Hum sends your target segment to Google Ad Manager for custom targeting. Allowing you to utilize your centralized data in Hum for custom targeting in Google Ad Manager.
Q: Does Hum only track ad impressions and clicks for display ad campaigns?
A: Hum tracks ad impressions and clicks for all ad creatives on your site regardless if it is part of a campaign or not.
